Light:
Pachira aquatica, commonly known as the Money Tree, thrives in bright, indirect light. It can adapt to lower light conditions but grows best with consistent, filtered sunlight. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Watering:
Allow the soil to dry out well between waterings. Water thoroughly when the soil is completely dry at least a few centimeters down. In winter, reduce watering frequency even further. Always ensure the pot has good drainage to avoid root rot.
Soil and repotting:
Use a well-draining potting mix with added materials like perlite or sand to improve aeration. A container with drainage holes is essential. Repot every 2–3 years or when the roots fill the pot, ideally during spring or early summer.
