Rhipsalis Heteroclada

  • Product Info

Rhipsalis heteroclada is a unique, trailing epiphytic cactus with thin, branching stems that create a soft, cascading effect. Native to tropical rainforests, it thrives in indirect light and adds a delicate, sculptural look to shelves or hanging planters. It’s an easy-care plant that brings a touch of the jungle indoors.

  • Care guide:

    Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate lower light conditions but grows best with consistent filtered light. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the stems.

    Watering:
Allow the top layer of soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly, letting excess drain away. This plant enjoys humidity—consider using a pebble tray or humidifier, especially in dry indoor conditions.

    Soil and repotting:
Use a well-draining mix, such as cactus soil with added bark or perlite. Repot every 2–3 years or when the plant outgrows its container, ideally in spring. Choose a hanging pot or container that supports its trailing growth.
